When large problems are detected, these officers may perform research and use problem-solving skills to determine the underlying causes, and they must strive to gather feedback directly from customers to gain insight regarding product/service performance.
Chief quality officers typically work full-time, and some travel and/or extended hours may occasionally be necessary.
