They may gather and interpret data to identify areas of improvement, and some may need to be on-call and work overtime when necessary. They may walk from place to place within the facility, so good physical health is necessary in this position, and some may oversee or provide training for staff members. Current BLS and CPR certification are usually required for this position, and they must always stay up-to-date with trends and changes in the field to provide the best possible service. A bachelor's degree in nursing and current RN license are often required for this position, while some employers require a master's degree in social work and prior leadership experience.
