Women account for the majority of Counter Managers in the United States. The entire group has an average salary of $15.31 per hour. The most influential factor affecting pay for this group is geography, though the specific employer and tenure have a (lesser) impact as well. The majority of Counter Managers claim high levels of job satisfaction. Unfortunately, some people in this line of work are without benefits — just under one in three lack coverage. On the flip side, a majority have medical insurance and the greater part receive dental plans. Figures cited in this summary are based on replies to PayScale's salary questionnaire.
