Creative Director Salary

The Creative Director is a position found in industries where expression and creativity are required, such as music, fashion, graphic design, advertising, film, entertainment, and media.
The Creative Director is usually the leader of a group tasked with creating and implementing new ideas. The Creative Director must possess a high level of skill in group coordination while also being able to provide constructive criticism. They must be able to see the bigger picture and how a small idea from an employee may grow into a much larger idea. The base of their work takes place in an office and conference room but when ideas are turned into action their workplace may vary into other areas such as a recording studio or an entertainment stage. Creative Directors generally work regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM.
Becoming a Creative Director requires either a technical or four year degree in one of the areas that they typically work in. It may be in graphic design, advertising, music, media, and similar fields. More than a degree is required as Creative Directors generally work their way up from the bottom through success and experience.
