Demand generation managers in advertising and marketing fields must help companies appeal to their target audiences, which may consist of hundreds of thousands of consumers or more. It is not uncommon for these managers to give weekly presentations to their companies about the progress being made and what lies ahead, and they generally serve as the base or foundation of a team which works to make the product or service the best it can possibly be. These managers should also expect to work with field agents and advertising/marketing professionals on a daily basis.
A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field and relevant prior experience may be required for this position, and a highly analytical mindset can be crucial for success. Some employers may prefer candidates who have two to three years of prior experience in the field.
