Demand Planner Reviews

What is it like working as a Demand Planner?

Demand Planner in Orem:
"Supply chain at its best!"
Pros: You do a lot of supply chain. Always working on managing demand, monitoring for reorders, forecasting, adjusting forecasts, trying to find better ways to forecast. I like that I am the one who says when and how much needs to be reordered.
Cons: No training. My boss sat down with me the 1st day and showed me how to use some software. The employee handbook has only company policies in it. The only time I learn things is when my boss asks why I haven't been doing something. Then I know to do it. There is high turnover everywhere. People are always leaving and always new people.

Demand Planner in Baltimore:
"Corporate culture, but no direction."
Pros: Corporate Culture, travel, client facing, work flexibility, analyst of data, being creative.
Cons: Management, promote from within, have to change departments to get promoted, high school feeling, get in with the right group to move ahead. No development from management. Kept in dark. Pay is low.
