I'm not sure if I'm being paid unfairly
Dental Assistant - (City withheld for privacy), Nebraska, United States
I recently found out that the receptionist in the small dental practice where I am a dental assistant is getting paid more than I am. She has been with us for about six months and has about a year and a half of previous experience. I have been with this practice for three years. I was trained with them so my three years with them is all the experience I have. We also get the same amount of hours every pay period. She actually gets paid for more hours than I do even though I work 3 to 4 hours more. With my lack of experience in the field I'm not sure if this is a fair wage difference.
