Meetings must be focused on reaching common ground and improving relations and/or sales for the company, so communication skills are highly beneficial in this position to convey thoughts and ideas.
A bachelor's degree in a business field and years of experience in leading teams of employees are often minimum requirements for this position, and some employers may require a master's degree. Some industry certifications may also be required depending on the employer. These directors work full-time and should be present to handle emergency situations in the office and able to make international flights to other locations on short notice.
