Directors of volunteer services are responsible for organizing volunteer event and services for their organization. They assist with volunteer recruitment and selection, participate in training for internal and external individuals, and use strong leadership skills to motivate a group of volunteers to achieve organizational goals in a timely manner. Directors of volunteer services use a personal computer as one of their main tools to communicate with other organizations, colleagues, and volunteers, as well as maintain event and volunteer information.
