Job Description for Educational, Vocational, or School Counselor

School counselors work at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels of both private and public schools, as well as the collegiate level, and they are generally responsible for ensuring that students are well-supported in their emotional and educational development; they also counsel students who may be experiencing difficulty in their personal or educational lives. In some instances, these counselors also work in group settings to help improve behavioral issues and develop academic plans which help lay down blueprints for the future.
