Electrician Journeyman Hourly Rate

An Electrician Journeyman is someone who enjoys working in the field of electronics in a real, hands-on fashion and has a Journeyman License. Though the term “Journeyman” may be misleading, the position is open to both men and women. An Electrician Journeyman spends a lot of time out in the field, working to install and troubleshoot wiring from drawings. S/he needs to knows how to install feeder wires, and layout and prepare equipment for installation. And as in many hands-on type of positions, the Electrician Journeyman needs to be able to fix problems as they come up. Electrician Journeymen need to be able to comply with any and all safety issues whether working in the field or not. The position of Electrician Journeyman is open to someone who can identify different colored wires, can bend conduit by hand with benders and is thoroughly comfortable, trained and able to use all manner of power tools, including threaders, saws, hydraulic benders and knockout punches. An Electrician Journeyman needs to be willing and able to work outdoors in any and all types of weather. This person needs to be able to be a team player, work well with others, including other contractors from other arenas, and needs to be responsible with any permits and regular paperwork.
