An embroidery machine operator works with garments, other cloth materials, and an embroidery machine. The operator may also have some sewing duties, either by hand or machine. An embroidery machine operator often is expected to be able to know how to maintain the machines, which includes applying oil and cleaning the machines so that they run smoothly.
