Job Description for Energy Advisor

Energy advisors are tasked with helping businesses and residential customers to make their homes or buildings more energy-efficient to lower costs related to electricity, gas, and other forms of energy consumption. After analyzing customers' energy use, they may create written plans to improve energy efficiency, and some travel directly to customers' locations to conduct inspections. Some positions may also require energy advisors to work from a call center, and communication skills are important in this position to understand customers' energy use and other circumstances.
