Environmental Analyst Advice

Q: What do you wish you knew about your job when you first started out?

Environmental Analyst in Spokane:
"I Wish I Might Learn More Substance Than Rote Skills."
Network with others and try to put aside your assumptions about what you have learned so far in the field. I wish that I might have more conceptual basis for my understanding of the environmental field. One of the best habits I have found is there are many ways to perform tasks in Excel described on YouTube. Keep learning! I listen to webinars often to see what other solutions have been tried for energy efficiency, transportation, greenhouse gas emissions reductions, and other topics relating to sustainability. Respect the experience of persons who have been in the field. They may have a solution that is not intuitive.
