An executive casino host is the person who is responsible for supervising and coordinating employees in the gaming area of a casino. This position is one which requires an employee to work extended hours, as casinos do not thrive during traditional business hours. This person will typically need a bachelor’s degree in a field such as hospitality and tourism management. Many organizations require their executive casino hosts to have extensive experience within the field.
An executive casino host will typically have one major goal in mind: doing everything within their power to develop strong relationships with VIP customers who will gamble within the casino. Some other responsibilities associated with this position include improving all aspects of customer service, developing new promotional experiences, implementing a variety of marketing techniques, cultivating relationships with VIP customers in the area, leading and directing a team of employees, offering a variety of amenities to VIP customers, forging relationships with valuable goals, catering to VIP customers’ needs, ensuring that all operations fall within regulations, greeting customers, ensuring positive customer experience, ensuring overall safety within the casino, maintaining familiarity with games played at the casino, performing a variety of paperwork, recording and issuing receipts for bets, providing first aid as necessary, reviewing rules of various games, and monitoring counting and distribution of currency.
This position requires a person who is naturally friendly, cheerful and optimistic, as their attitude is typically what helps draw VIP customers to the casino. Expert communication and interpersonal skills are of the utmost importance.
