Facilities directors hold an upper-level management position. As well as overseeing the daily operations of the physical building(s), these individuals are responsible for managing staff, budgets, and subcontractors, as well as negotiating leases and overseeing construction projects. They manage multiple types of technical services associated with facilities management, and they must be able to assess and successfully resolve any issues that may arise with minimal disruption to business operations.
