Field service representatives are responsible for promoting and providing company products or services in a variety of locations. They act as a liaison between organization and customers to increase brand loyalty. In addition, they must possess strong communication abilities to increment customer satisfaction.
Field service representatives must work well under deadlines and have problem solving skills. They create performance- and sale-related reports, as well as manage complex projects across different regions or states. They assist with customer needs and strive to resolve any issues in a prompt manner. They provide support for developed business plans and initiatives. They must pay substantial attention to detail and are well organized to present a better company image on the road. They make persuasive business proposals, and follow up to obtain or renew contracts.
Field service representatives need to follow strict company and industry privacy regulations. They must create effective technical reports, and present to customers on a regular basis, as well as cultivate new commercial relationships and develop strong partnerships with vendors. They report to the service manager in their department.
A high school diploma or equivalent is needed for this position. In addition, previous working experience in a sales or service related position may be helpful.
Field Service Representative Tasks
Perform troubleshooting procedures.
Resolve maintenance and operational issues in the field.
Provide technical field support for company products by servicing sites and/or delivering or installing equipment.
