What do you wish you knew about your job when you first started out?
Front Office Manager in Virginia Beach:
"Serve those who serve."
The most important advice that I can give to a new Front Office Manager is to make sure they serve their associates, who serve our guests. Happy, fulfilled associates deliver a higher level of service than others.
Front Office Manager in Grand Prairie:
"Don't volunteer to work more hours."
You do your training for that position. It is always wise to learn everything and all the people that work there. It is not wise to start taking on more and more duties and working 45-55 hour work week and not get any pay raise or no mention of it.
Front Office Manager in San Jose:
"You will be in charge of accounting as well."
Be very focused and goal oriented while maintaining all standards.
Front Office Manager in Palm Springs:
Always work well with the people you work with. Have an open communication. Learn and show each others for quicker and faster ways to tackle the situations. Read and share any updated e-mail or memo with others.
Front Office Manager in Indio:
"Eyes And Ears."
Working for over 10 years in the hotel industry you become to know that you have eyes and ears everywhere even when you don't want to know you always find out something and we always learn new things all the time. It never becomes boring. Always bring you ideas to the table.
