Job Description for Group Sales Manager

A group sales manager is a critical part of any sales-based organization. These individuals can be found in offices around the world. In general, a group sales manager is responsible for attracting new clients and ensuring that existing clients are satisfied and retained. These individuals should be prepared to contact existing clients on a regular basis to maintain current customer satisfaction, as well as contact potential new clients through a variety of methods. These methods include making phone calls, visiting various locations, and attending trade shows. With regard to staying in contact with existing clients and contacting potential clients, a group sales manager is usually in charge of correspondence. Strong verbal and written skills are critical to his position.
