Job Description for HVAC Commissioning Engineer

The installation of climate control systems in large commercial buildings and offices is usually something of an inexact science. Complications and modifications in design and construction can greatly affect how well such systems work. An HVAC commissioning engineer is a person who analyzes the performance of these systems. He or she ensures that the climate controls operate properly and efficiently. He or she typically will also make suggestions for improvements that can help reduce the operating costs of HVAC temperature systems.
