Job Description for Head Football Coach

Head football coaches not only oversee strategies in football games, but also recruit qualified student-athletes, monitor their academic progress, and enforce all academic policies and penalties for players. They also conduct and oversee practices, assist with pre-season programs and off-season conditioning to develop the mechanics and skills of key players, and work one-on-one with particular players when necessary.


Head Football Coach Tasks

  • Manage football program, travel with team to games.
  • Recruit and evaluate athletes.
  • Instruct athletes during practices and training.
  • Promote program, mange outreach, sports camps and clinics and other activities.
