The healthcare admissions director will usually be working in a healthcare environment. This person will regularly be on their feet as they will be not only managing a group of employees, but also showing patients around and giving tours of the facility. Most organizations will not require any travel, but a few may include light travel if the company owns multiple facilities. The admissions director will need to have good communication skills, as they will be speaking to patients, other employees, and separate organizations in order to answer inquiries about their facility.
The healthcare admissions director may also be in charge of marketing and will be tasked with introducing campaigns in order to increase admissions to the facility.
