Pros: I enjoy the organization, responsibility and communication involved. I talk to many people a day, interacting not only over the phones, but with the team and managers. I love having sty true physically within my office and a schedule that helps hit goals, be productive and essentially grow as an individual and company!
Cons: There is a lack of understanding as to how much I really contribute to the company. There is a ton of responsibility and pressure to hit goals that many are not aware of.

Pros: I love working with employees and volunteers and being a resource to them in an industry that truly helps people in a unique and necessary way. I thrive in generating initiatives for improving the workplace, solving problems, streamlining processes and systems and overall growth. I really enjoy the recruitment and hiring process, including employee on-boarding and training.
Cons: The hardest and often most distasteful part is having to fire people. It's never easy and can be extremely stressful even when done for the right reasons. In a small agency, you know everyone and it weighs heavily. My main dissatisfaction though is having my time overrun with helping other non-HR departments and having to set aside important HR projects or delay new initiatives because of needing to help with tedious administrative tasks because we don't have enough people to delegate to. Having too big of a workload and not enough relief is overwhelming and makes it hard to focus.

Pros: I enjoy being able to help and encourage employees to stay happy in their current positions as well as encouraging them to the next level. Working with the California VP and the Account Manager to attain more employee retention.
Cons: I am by myself in California...my company is based out of Illinois. I am constantly throwing out ideas and needs without much feedback. I have to communicate many times.
