What do you wish you knew about your job when you first started out?

Industrial-Organizational Psychologist in Washington:
"Practical Experience a Must."
Whatever practical experience one can get in school by working with a professor on applied research or on a contract, or by having an I/O related internship is a must. This separates the wheat from the chaff and really makes a huge difference in what you will be able to do when you get an actual job. Data analysis and experience with SPSS is also really helpful. Writing skills are a must.
