An internal auditing supervisor is the person who is responsible for overseeing the internal auditing department within a firm or organization. This position is one that will primarily work in an office, but light travel is sometimes needed for the job. This is a position which requires a bachelor’s degree in an area such as accounting, business, finance, or public administration. Some positions may require a master’s degree or additional training in auditing practices and principles. An internal audit supervisor will generally keep traditional daytime office hours, though the position may require overtime or extended hours during particular times of the year.
