Internet marketing coordinators are responsible for performing Internet-related marketing activities for their organization. They are in charge of developing and coordinating online tasks to increase brand recognition with the use of e-media applications. They write detailed reports on their work for presentation to managers and other employees, as well as create tailored creative content to respond to consumer needs. Internet marketing coordinators use their strong communication skills to interact with existing and prospective company clients on the Internet, resolving their inquiries in a timely manner. Internet marketing coordinators track consumer listings, as well as write informative email campaigns and newsletters to increase product or service exposure. They perform data input on company databases. In all work, internet marketing coordinators must follow strict privacy and confidentiality guidelines related to client information. Generally, these coordinators report their progress to the marketing executive or supervisor in their department.
A bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field is generally required for this job. Previous marketing experience (perhaps specifically in Internet marketing) is needed as well. Internet marketing coordinators must be proficient with the use of basic office software and have a strong understanding of how to use online platforms to conduct effective marketing. They need to work well on their own with minimal supervision, but also work effectively with other marketing coordinators to reach company objectives.
