An internet marketing manager oversees the way a company markets products and brands online, including via websites, email, and social media. They work with marketing and branding personnel throughout the company to help maintain a consistency of design and message throughout all online marketing endeavors. To work successfully in this role, the internet marketing manager must be able to work with many different departments within their organization. For example, if new components or design are needed for the company website, new graphics from an art department will be necessary; if a new sale or advertising initiative is underway, the marketing manager may work with social media managers to determine the language and tone of messages and tailor them to various platforms.
