Job Description for Journeyman Carpenter
A journeyman carpenter perform various woodworking tasks as assigned. Often, this requires working on construction projects, including installing foundations and various structural aspects of buildings. Fitting wooden aspects of structures and shaping and carving wood to given specifications is essential, so attention to detail is important for this position. The journeyman carpenter might also be in charge of erecting scaffolding for planned construction work to ensure the safety of other employees. Most journeyman carpenter jobs require some experience in the field, as well as enrollment in an apprenticeship school (or having completed training in one).
