Job Description for Kitchen Expediter
Food expediters work in kitchen environments to assist cooks so that food can be delivered in a timely manner. Food expediters are commonly employed in restaurants where a fast pace is required, and are often in charge of the pace from receiving the order to presenting the food to customers. An order will be received by the food expediter, and then passed on to the correct parties within the kitchen. The progress of the order must be monitored to ensure timely progression and that all orders are prepared correctly as per customers' requirements. Food expediters may also direct personnel, such as runners, so that food is presented to customers on-time.Read More...

When the cook is done with basic cooking, the food expediter will arrange it and add sauces and garnishments as necessary and make the dish look aesthetically pleasing.
