Q: What do you wish you knew about your job when you first started out?
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) in Chattanooga:
Find what type of therapy you love geriatrics, orthopedic, acute care and stick with it. Gain as much knowledge and certifications as you can.
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) in Huntsville:
"I Wish I Knew."
You are encouraged constantly to learn and grow as a therapist, but you "top out" at your salary after about 10 years. You are not recompensed for your loyalty to your profession.
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) in East Peoria:
"PTA To A PT Program."
As a PTA the degree you get does not transfer to a PT. You have to take majority of the classes over again. So I wish I would have known that, so I could have just done the PT degree.
