Most machine assemblers work indoors for assembly plants and companies with large work-forces and work closely with machine parts. These companies have safety guidelines which must be met during the workday to prevent accidents, and these assemblers also work with coworkers in production and assembly. They typically have supervisors who are present in the plant or building, and commonly work in industries such as technology, automotive, and appliance manufacturing.
A college degree may be required for this position, while some employers require only a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant assembling experience.
