There are many types of marketing, and a few of the most common categories are direct marketing, network marketing, and Internet marketing; each involves communication with prospective and current clients, as well as developing strategies to successfully sell their product and advance the company's goals. The duties of the manager of marketing and business development include developing strategic marketing plans and analyses; collaborating with others to design, develop, and publish content online; and establishing communication with potential clients. Business development-related duties may include the creation of development strategies, educating staff on those strategies, and developing solutions to business development-related issues within their organization.
