Job Description for Manufacturer's Representative

Manufacturer's representatives are responsible for communicating and responding to the inquiries of existing and prospective customers on behalf of their company. They are in charge of interacting with clients and solving client issues. Two of their main responsibilities are to portray a professional attitude and provide excellent service. Depending on specific projects, they are also in charge of generating sales and increasing brand loyalty. They share key product and customer information with coworkers to reach all company goals in a timely manner. They work well in a team setting but can also perform efficiently on their own. These individuals are organized and pay close attention to detail. They report their progress to the manufacturer's supervisor in their department. They also participate in business meetings to suggest changes to field strategies, as well as make recommendations based on their observations and customer feedback. They can also research market trends and modify behaviors to improve product recognition. Manufacturer's representatives use their excellent multitasking skills to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. They also order new product displays and work hard to improve company awareness. Among their other duties are distributing company or product information and escalating client issues as needed.
