They must be able to work well with others to develop these ideas, as well as meet with clients to sign on new projects. They are also involved in making technological advances and using a variety of computer programs, such as Photoshop. Multimedia specialists can expect to work long hours, which can vary depending on the employer and how quickly deadlines can be met. It is not necessarily uncommon to struggle to meet deadlines or work with clients who may be difficult, unreasonable, or have bizarre requests.
While a bachelor's degree is generally required for this position, applicants with exceptional skills, knowledge, and a portfolio may also enjoy employment opportunities. Multimedia specialists must be able to handle multiple clients and remain patient when working with them, and clients may range from engineering firms and advertising agencies to simple retailers and local companies.
