Nanny or Aupair Advice

What do you wish you knew about your job when you first started out?

Nanny or Aupair in Ventura:
"Stick to the job you were hired for."
A job description may sound easy, but may consume you if you let it. Three adopted girls and a hard working Dad that lost his wife to breast cancer needed more than light housekeeping, meals and driving them around. The description should have read: Person needed to do laundry, clean the house, keep full inventory of all household necessities. Organize drawers, closets and paperwork. Mend and shop for clothing as needed. Drive to two schools for pick up. Schedule and take to Dr. And physical therapy appointments. Take and pick up the girls to gymnastics lessons at three alternating times during the week. Help with homework. Make meals and snacks. Hire household repair people. Show love and patience to the girls, support to the Dad. In other words: Mother wanted.
