A bachelor's degree and broad understanding of the gas and oil industry are often minimum requirements for this position, and at least three years of prior experience in the industry are also required by some employers. Strong communication skills are important to work well with a wide range of people, and they may also be tasked with handling clients' complaints or issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Natural gas schedulers may also set budgeting goals for sales and delivery and ensure that these goals are met and exceeded.
