A Wireless RF network engineer is responsible for monitoring the network, implementing routing protocols and network features, troubleshooting network and application issues, and assisting with network projects. Duties include monitoring network performance using documented standards, as well as installing new hardware, systems, and software for networks. These network engineers also maintain network management, connectivity, and services, as well as troubleshoot network issues and operational problems. Network engineers must develop a plan for application recovery and make use of standard operating procedures in case of hardware or software failure. A log is kept for any incident that happens with the network and reviewed for troubleshooting recurrent problems.
