Job Description for Nursing Home Assistant Administrator

Nursing home assistant administrators are responsible for a variety of operational duties in the office. Computer skills are necessary for this position, as these assistant administrators must be able to type well, use particular software programs, and run various company reports. The ability to coordinate workflow is also important, as they are responsible for helping to ensure that each department is running smoothly. They must also be able to sit for long periods of time in order to spend most of the day in front of the computer.

  • Assist in planning and directing the administrative portion of the nursing home program.
  • Act as liaison for conflict resolution between staff, patients, family members and physicians.
  • Ensure services are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.
