The position of an operations supervisor in banking requires a complete understanding of corporate policies and federal regulations and laws pertaining to the job. The job may also entail having to solve individual problems by training subordinates on a one on one basis. The work is mostly mental and verbal in nature. They work indoors in a corporate branch setting.
Two to four years of experience in banking may also be required in this position. A four year degree is preferred. The position may entail working days, evenings, and weekends, depending on the needs of the individual branch assigned. Work with local, state, and federal law enforcement, as well as regulation committees, may be required when resolving claims. Knowledge of laws having to do with fraud or other suspicious activity may also be required in the position of an operations supervisor in banking.
