An optical manager works in an optometrist’s office and is responsible for managing the office and its overall operations. Those in this position generally work daytime office hours Monday through Friday, though the hours can vary. Different offices will have different requirements of their optical managers, but a minimum of four years of in-field optical experience is often required.
