Outsourcing vendor managers have a variety of responsibilities, including: maintaining communication with outsourcing vendors; working with account managers; ensuring accurate and timely communications among managers; creating/managing projects; ensuring that each project stays within budget guidelines; assisting with customer care production; managing internal and external teams; developing action plans for individual programs; ensuring improvement among each vendor; and coordinating among internal teams to ensure accurate metrics within each project.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least four years of experience in client management, business operations, contract management, or call center management are generally required for this position. Candidates for this position should work well under pressure, often at a fast pace, and be able to handle several projects simultaneously. Excellent organization, time-management skills, and analytical skills are important to interpret various marketing and technical information, and strong verbal and written communication skills are important to communicate with vendors and other personnel.
