Daily tasks that are assigned to packaging supervisors include: ensuring all operations comply with company policy; ensuring that all workers understand and meet the goals of the facility and are working safely and efficiently; providing group activities to employees; making improvements to the facility to increase efficiency and potentially lower costs; and managing employees' shifts. Ultimately, high-quality packaging is of the utmost importance.
Packaging supervisors generally work in factory settings during traditional business hours; they usually have an office within the facility, but spend a lot of time on their feet walking around and ensuring that everything is running smoothly. They will have many workers reporting to them, and these supervisors also serve as the communication bridge between the factory and its headquarters.
Candidates for the position should generally have at least a bachelor's degree and a few years of management experience as well as have great leadership skills and verbal/written communication skills. Overtime may occasionally be required for this job.
