Job Description for Patient/Health Educator

  • Educate individuals by assisting in the management and prevention of illness and disease.
  • Counsel individuals on basic rules of good nutrition and healthy eating habits.
  • Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
  • Prepare and distribute health education materials, including bulletins, and visual aids.
