A patient access supervisor works in a hospital or other healthcare institution in the patient administration area. The supervisor ensures that operations are running smoothly and that customers are satisfied with the service received. The supervisor may oversee patient administration activities such as admissions, transfers, and discharges. Also, if the patients experience any problems with their care and file a complaint at the patient access area, the patient access supervisor contacts involved parties and works to develop an appropriate solution.
