If you don't like people this job is not for you, we see people at thier worst and death of adults as well as children. Go to school become someone not the nameless PCA that is front line with the patients and knows them better than some of the nurse, that sits and holds a dying persons hand that feeds and bathes the sick who is often to the person who starts a code when someone lay dying than gets pushed aside while the team continues what you started later to be forgotten. PCAs are the unsung hero's .If you can just take pride for yourself knowing what you do than this job is for you and the low pay we get doesn't seem fair so it's our patients and their families thanks that forfills us and if this is good enough fine if not become a nurse lots more money and for most a lot less heart.
