This job requires the candidate work inside, exhibiting strong teamwork and communication skills to ensure that the pharmacy or pharmacies are delivering the correct, quality products to customers in a timely and professional manner. The pharmacist in charge manages pharmacy technicians, which includes everything from interviewing to hiring to scheduling. They also manage inventory, purchasing, and delivery processes for the pharmacy. The pharmacist in charge is required to have a current state pharmacy license, while many positions require a doctorate of pharmacy from a school accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education. It is beneficial, but not required, for the pharmacist in charge to be bilingual and have previous supervisory experience.
