Some photo stylists keep a wide range of fashion accessories and home props for use in a variety of photo shoots, and it's important that they always stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the fashion and photography industries so they can create the best scenarios for photo shoots.
Photo stylists work long and occasionally unexpected hours, as they may be needed sporadically when impromptu shoots are necessary or unexpected changes are made to photo shoots. Lifting ladders and other heavy items and props may be a regular responsibility, so these stylists should also be physically fit. Depending on the employer, a degree in photography or a background in the field is generally required for this position.
