Job Description for Plant Maintenance Manager

The plant maintenance manager supervises a maintenance staff that ensures the facility functions at peak efficiency. The maintenance staff repairs equipment, performs regular inspections, ensures employee safety, and audits the operating efficiency of the facility’s automated processes and machinery. The plant maintenance manager hires and schedules a team of maintenance workers based upon the needs of the facility and plant machinery. The manager schedules maintenance work in a way that causes minimal operating disruptions on the plant floor. They review automated performance data and assess it to ensure the machinery is working as intended and at peak efficiency.
