Job Description for Preventive Maintenance Coordinator

Preventive maintenance coordinators are responsible for preventive maintenance related to buildings, machinery, and equipment. They must maintain a log, on paper or computer, of required preventive maintenance and schedule it accordingly, as well as coordinate with maintenance employees regarding projects to be completed. They must also rotate machinery or equipment which is to be serviced so that it will not disrupt the business or building operation.

  • Coordinate with engineering staff to evaluate, enhance, and preserve equipment condition.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and general maintenance operations.
