Pricing Analyst Reviews

What is it like working as a Pricing Analyst at Wesco International, Inc.?

Pricing Analyst in Woodridge:
"Great job however, not rewarding."
Pros: I appreciate the trust given to me with my work. The relationships developed within the entire company are very rewarding to me. We are now in a different location which is now safer and pleasant.
Cons: I wish there was more communication within my dept. I feel my mgr should be more involved with problems and display appreciation to us. A little acknowledgement would be nice from the higher ups too. Very displeased with lack of raises over the last 22 years.

What is it like working as a Pricing Analyst?

Pricing Analyst in Fairfax:
"Great."
Pros: The data analysis factor and working with numbers is a key component of the job of which I enjoy. I also enjoy working with smart and positive people.
Cons: Not high speed enough.

Pricing Analyst in Chicago:
Pros: The people are good. Love the work. We have good systems and data. Lower management is good. Job flexibility is good.
Cons: Merit raises (the only raises you get) are awful as they often only meet CPI or are less which does not lend to making you feel you did a good job. Bonus' have to be wrangled though they were promised during the hiring process. Benefits are cut every year.Too many pats on the back without the accompanying dollars in the paycheck.

Pricing Analyst in Tacoma:
Pros: A lot of flexibility to define own workload, projects, etc. Fascinating to work with the complex data of a trucking company. It's a challenge to find the relevant trends and stories the data tells you about the story of how the company is conducting business. There is a lot of opportunity for someone with vision to simplify the story and optimize operations/sales efforts.
Cons: Little guidance, training, or development. Management feels aloof, bouncing from various meetings. Pay and benefits are weak, and it's difficult to see the direct contribution you make to the overall success of the company.
